About Our Leadership
Dr Nigel Horner is the Founder and Director of GridEPC Consult Ltd and a senior construction, engineering and major project leader with more than four decades of international experience.
His career has included senior appointments as Project Director, Commercial Manager, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer across complex HVDC, interconnector, power transmission, energy, construction and civil infrastructure programmes.
Nigel has led major EPC projects from bid development and contract negotiation through design, mobilisation, construction, commissioning and final handover. His approach combines technical understanding, commercial discipline, strong governance and decisive leadership, with a consistent focus on safety, programme certainty, cost control and value protection.
Having worked across the UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, Nigel brings an independent and practical perspective to project management and recovery, bid assurance, delivery readiness and executive project oversight.
He established GridEPC Consult to provide clients with experienced senior-level support when complex projects require clearer direction, stronger controls and informed challenge.
